Founded in 1986, INDEX is a program of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center, dedicated to research, education, and service related to developmental disabilities. In 2000, the Shriver Center and INDEX became part of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. INDEX also provides information and referral to people with disabilities in Massachusetts (www.DisabilityInfo.org)
